your account
- you need to be 13 or older to create an account.
- keep your details accurate and your password to yourself. one account per person.
- you’re responsible for orders placed from your account. tell us right away if you think someone else is using it.
- you can order as a guest without an account, and you can delete your account any time (here’s how).
ordering and prices
- menu items, prices and availability can change. the price you pay is the one shown when you place the order.
- before you pay you see the full total: items, michigan sales tax, any tip you choose and, for delivery, the delivery fee. nothing is added afterwards.
- you can order for as soon as possible or pick a time slot. times are estimates; we tell you in the order tracker if anything slips.
- we may refuse or cancel an order, for example if an item runs out, a price was listed in error, or we suspect fraud. if we cancel, you get a full refund.
- you can cancel an order yourself while it’s still “order received” or “on the rail”. see the refund policy.
payment
cards and wallets are charged through Clover’s secure hosted form. the card number never reaches us. card orders are charged when you place them.
delivery
- delivery runs within the radius shown at checkout, when delivery is switched on.
- give us an address and phone the driver can use; add drop-off notes if the door is tricky.
- weather, traffic and driver availability can delay or pause delivery. if we can’t deliver, we refund the order.
- once the order is handed off at the address you gave, it’s yours.
press points, rewards and promos
- you earn five press points per dollar on eligible orders tied to your account.
- points and rewards have no cash value, can’t be sold or transferred, and follow the terms shown with each reward.
- points on a refunded or cancelled order are reversed. we can correct points or rewards credited in error.
- promo codes follow the limits shown with each code and can end at any time.
- unused points and rewards end when an account is deleted.
acceptable use
don’t misuse the site or app: no scraping or automated ordering, no getting around rate limits or security, no reverse engineering, no fake or abusive orders, and nothing unlawful. we can suspend accounts that do.
our content
the daily press name, badge, wordmark, photos, menu copy and app are ours or licensed to us. you can share links and screenshots for personal use; anything else needs our written permission.
disclaimers and liability
we work to keep the site and app running and accurate, but they are provided as they are and may be unavailable at times. if you have a food allergy, tell us in the order notes or at the counter before you eat.
where the law allows, our total liability for any claim about an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. nothing here limits rights you have under michigan consumer law that can’t be waived.
governing law and disputes
these terms are governed by the laws of the state of michigan. any dispute goes to the state or federal courts located in wayne county, michigan. there is no arbitration clause and no class-action waiver. talk to us first at support@dailypresscafe.com; most things get fixed with one email.
changes to these terms
each version is dated at the top of this page. changes apply to orders placed after the new date; for material changes we also post in the app’s news feed.
